National Curriculum
The curriculum contains the programmes of study and attainment targets for all subjects, at all key stages.
The National Curriculum was made compulsory from September 2014
All classes at Vine Tree Primary School follow the National Curriculum. To support with the delivery they adopt a number of different practices:
English - All English is taught from the National Curriculum using texts as a vehicle
Maths - All Maths is taught from the National Curriculum using Focus Education guidance to support its delivery.
Science - All Science is taught from the National Curriculum using Focus Education guidance to support its delivery.
Learning Challenge - Learning challenges incorporate the humanities and the arts and are facilitated with a question based approach. Supported by the Learning Challenge Curriculum from Focus Education
PE - Local sports specialists Premier Sports support the delivery of the PE National Curriculum
RE - At Vine Tree we follow the Cheshire East guidance for RE delivery
PHSE - A variety of approaches are taken to the delivery of a PHSE curriculum based upon the needs of individual classes
