Safeguarding & Keeping Safe

Nothing is more important to us than the safety and welfare of our pupils. We take rigorous steps to ensure that children stay safe and do not come to any harm. We work closely with parents / carers and a range of professional external agencies in order to secure this.

If you have any concerns, no matter how small they may seem, about the safety or welfare of any child, please contact the school's Designated Lead for Child Protection, Mrs Walker, Acting Headteacher, Miss Naomi Thomas or Mrs Janet Cope, Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads

Cheshire East provide a Early Help and Support team who deal with all serious child protection concerns where a child is considered to be at risk of significant harm. Please call ChECS direct should your concern be urgent - details below:

DO YOU HAVE A CONCERN ABOUT A CHILD?

The Cheshire East Consultation Service (CHECS) is the ‘front door’ for access to services, support and advice for children and their families, from early help and support through to safeguarding and child protection.

If you have a concern about a child:

  • Phone ChECS on 0300 123 5012 (option 3). A social worker will take details of your concerns and advise you of the next steps.

  • If you need to contact someone out of hours and you believe it to be an emergency that can't wait, please call the Emergency Duty Team on 0300 123 5022.
